Find Gyms UK reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and your continued use of the website and/or services following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is therefore your responsibility to check the Terms and Conditions regularly for any changes.
  5. Find Gyms UK may update the website from time to time, and may change the content at any time.

  1. The Services
  1. Find Gyms UK takes steps to verify the credentials and company status contained within the directory (the “Vetting Process”).
  2. Find Gyms UK collects and collates feedback from users of the gyms contained within the directory by means of feedback (“Monitoring”).
  3. Find Gyms UK collates recommendations from users in relation to the gyms contained within the directory and the services provided (“Recommendations”).
  4. The results of the Vetting, Monitoring and Recommendation processes are published on the website.
  5. Find Gyms UK utilise selected third party advertising to promote on the website. Please refer to Find Gyms UK’s Cookies Policy for further information on how we use cookies.
  6. Find Gyms UK do not analyse the integrity, quality or safety of the gyms listed within the directory, nor provide recommendations other than those collated from users (see 2.3 “Recommendations”). Find Gyms UK holds no liability for the integrity, quality or safety of the gyms contained within the YouTube reviews. Our YouTube reviews are for educational and entertainment purposes only. All content contained on the website is provided for general information only, it is not intended to amount to advice on which you should solely rely.
  7. Find Gyms UK is a user based site, therefore the opinions of users do not necessarily reflect those of Find Gyms UK.

Find Gyms UK aims to:

  1. Forge an online community that shares & learns from each other’s expertise, skills, knowledge & experiences.
  2. Improve the accountability and credibility of gyms within the directory through publishing feedback on services;
  3. Identify quality service and best practice among gyms within the directory;
  4. Promote gyms within the directory and services associated with the fitness industry to the public, isolating poor practices/service.
  1. Gym Categories
  1. CrossFit Gyms/Clubs
  • Gyms/Clubs that have the ‘CrossFit’ category attached to them on Find Gyms UK are classed as CrossFit Affiliates. As such these gyms/clubs can be found on the official CrossFit website. This means the said gym/club pays a fee to CrossFit to become ‘affiliated’.

  1. Weightlifting Gyms/Clubs
  • Gyms/Clubs that have the ‘Weightlifting’ category attached to them on Find Gyms UK refer to those gyms/clubs that offer Olympic Weightlifting facilities. Where the British Weightlifting (BWL) logo is attached to the listing, it means that the organisation is ‘Accredited’ with the BWL. As such these gyms/clubs can be found on the official BWL website. This means said gym/club pays a fee to BWL to become accredited.

  1. Powerlifting Gyms/Clubs
  • It is important to note that not all powerlifting gyms/clubs have affiliate or associate status with a national Powerlifting Federation or Association. To that end, Find Gyms UK has only included the GBPF logo in the facilities that are ‘Associated Clubs’. That is, that they have met a strict set of rules laid out by the GBPF, of which further information on can be found here:
  • It is also possible for powerlifting clubs/gyms to be ‘Affiliated’ with their respective home nation. These clubs are not classed as GBPF associate clubs but are recognised by their respective Home Countries to help promote clubs in their area. Where this is the case Find Gyms UK has included the logo of the respective home nation’s GBPF Powerlifting Association (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).
  • Find Gyms UK has also only attached the British Drug Free Powerlifting Association (BDFPA) Logo to those gyms/clubs that have ‘Affiliate’ status with the BDFPA. Further information on these clubs can be found here:
  • If a gym/club on Find Gyms UK has powerlifting attached as a category, but no federation/association logo, this means that the club may not be affiliated or associated with the GBPF or BDFPA, but do advertise as providing powerlifting facilities.
  • All records on Find Gyms UK have been cross referenced with the BDFPA, GBPF, English Powerlifting Association (EPA), Scottish Powerlifting Association (SPA), Welsh Powerlifting Association (WPA) and Northern Ireland Powerlifting Federation (NIPF) websites to ensure the highest degree of accuracy.
  1. Strongman Gyms/Clubs
  • Unlike CrossFit, Weightlifting and Powerlifting the sport of Strongman is not currently regulated by any one governing body and as such no affiliates or associate clubs currently exist.
  • Consequently, gyms/clubs on Find Gyms UK that are categorised as Strongman refer to those Gyms that advertise the presence of Strongman equipment within their facility.
  1. Outdoor Gyms
  • The post codes listed for outdoor gyms are the closest registered UK address/postcode for them. Due to the nature of outdoor gyms, they do not all have an exact pin point address as they reside in fields, play areas etc. Prior to embarking on any journey, Find Gyms UK recommends undertaking some mild reconnaissance by navigating to the respective website assigned to the outdoor gym and confirming its location from there.
  1. Other Categories
  • Categories other than the ones mentioned above are self-explanatory in their nature and purpose. These gyms/clubs may or may not be members of their respective governing bodies. In addition, gyms that are categorised on Find Gyms UK may also meet the requirements of other categories, which may or may not be included in their listing. For example, a YMCA Gym may be considered a health club, however if the same gym is classed as an official CrossFit Affiliate this will be their primary category. For further information on how these gyms/clubs are categorised please contact Find Gyms UK via the ‘Contact Us’ page.

  • Find Gyms UK recognise that some Clubs train out of Gym’s that do not hold the same name as the Club itself. Where this has been found to be the case Find Gyms UK has listed the name of the Gym in the title, not the Club. This is because Find Gyms UK primarily focuses on listing Gyms within the UK, not clubs or groups. To accommodate these instances by still including the Clubs in the directory, Find Gyms UK has attached the relevant category to the Gym listing, with ‘Home of: EXAMPLE CLUB‘ attached in the listing description to help identify where the Club is known to train out of.
  • Find Gyms UK also recognise that whilst the information contained within the database was accurate at the time of publication, the gyms/clubs/associated/affiliated or operating status may be subject to change. Find Gyms UK work hard to ensure the accuracy of the data is maintained, however do also recognise that sometimes this data may be outdated. To that end, Find Gyms UK recommends that the user navigates to the respective website or CrossFit, Weightlifting, Powerlifting Federation/Association to confirm their current operating or associate/affiliate status.
  • Gym Facilities/Equipment.
  1. The option to filter between a gyms facilities and equipment exists to aid the user in identifying a gym of their choosing. The facilities/equipment contained within Find Gyms UK listings are those that are directly advertised on the respective gyms advertising materials/websites and are therefore by no means exhaustive. It is recommended that the user contacts the respective gyms to confirm the current status of their facilities and equipment prior to payment of any monies.

  8. Users of the service do hereby represent, understand and expressly agree that Find Gyms UK does not make any warranty or guarantee over the quality, integrity, responsibility, legality or any other aspect whatsoever of the services offered by the gyms within the directory to their customers.

You hereby expressly agree not to hold Find Gyms UK (or affiliate’s, representatives, advertisers or employees of Find Gyms UK) liable for any instruction, advice or services delivered which originated through the website or associated services and Find Gyms UK expressly disclaims any liability whatsoever for any damage, suits, claims, and/or controversies that have arisen or may arise, whether known or unknown therefrom.
